Candy Cane in Venice
Lore has it that candy canes were invented by a choirmaster in Cologne in 1670 as a treat to hand out to the little ones to keep them still and quiet. Though originally all white, our candy cane yarn is also flavored with festive shades of red and green. The "give 'em candy" theory also applies to this yarn as it will keep your attention as you knit up those holiday goodies!
Still soft and squishy, Venice can fool you at first. The twist is the tightest of all our sock yarns and appears to have some curly cues when you first look at it. Made from Merino wool, which is often regarded as the most luxurious and refined wool available, we assure you it will be love at first knit stitch. It has a wonderful touch in your hands and soon creates a fabric that says strength, but is not stiff. For patterns that require more stability than our Lucca yarn, yet does not give the appearance of bulk, Venice will give you lots of options to explore.
